My name is Ramona Meza and I am the new Community Engagement Coordinator at Stanford Sierra Youth & Families (SSYAF). I am originally from a small town named Riverbank, which is located near Modesto. I graduated from California State University, Sacramento where I earned my Bachelor’s in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations.

I started off my career working with youth in direct care, but I knew I wanted to combine my two passions of helping others and applying my degree to help share stories that are rarely being told. I was able to accomplish this goal by working as a Communications and Outreach Coordinator for local nonprofits. I am excited to be able to continue my goal of sharing the stories of individuals who have been positively impacted by Stanford Sierra Youth & Families and sharing our mission throughout all of our platforms.

I connected with SSYAF’s mission of helping youth thrive and knew this would be the perfect organization to grow my marketing skills while making a difference in the community. Having experience working with youth in direct care I understand the important role and impact that community individuals have on a youth’s life – it truly takes a village.

During my free time, I enjoy working out, traveling, watching movies, playing video games, and hanging out with family and friends. I’m also an avid reader and you can always find me out in the garden or baking.

I am excited to be a part of a wonderful team and share the many stories of the youth and families who receive services through Stanford Sierra Youth & Families.
