Yolo County Parent Partnership
We Get Involved

Overview

We’ve been there and done that! We are parents of families who have been through the child welfare system. We are parents who previously had open cases in the Yolo County child welfare system and are now working to assist families currently involved with Yolo County. We can help you make a difference.

What We Do

• CONNECT YOU TO RESOURCES.
• TEACH YOU TO ADVOCATE EFFECTIVELY.
• HELP YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR PARENTAL RIGHTS.
• PROVIDE PARENT ORIENTATIONS.
• TEAM DECISION MAKING (TDM) AND FAMILY SUPPORT MEETINGS (FSM).

Voice of Experience

By sharing our own experiences, we can help you navigate policies and procedures and better understand the court system. We also use our own advocacy skills as a valuable layer of support.

We Offer Support

Having the support of our Parent Partners can help you reduce stress while navigating the child welfare system. We provide general information about this system and teach you to advocate effectively and help you understand your parental rights.

We Can Help

If you or someone you know is a parent with an open child welfare case, we are here to help. We are available to provide you with support and vital information. If you have any questions or concerns about this program, please contact our main office at (916) 344-0199 and ask to be connected to a Yolo County Parent Partner.
