Doug Aguiar brings more than 30 years of executive-level strategic marketing and communications experience with some of the nation’s leading financial services brands. Most recently, he served as Chief Marketing Officer at Golden 1 Credit Union—one of the ten largest credit unions in the country—where he earned multiple national awards for branding and marketing campaigns. He also led the Grand Opening and naming rights strategy for Golden 1 Center, home to the NBA’s Sacramento Kings and host to more than 300 premium events annually.

Doug holds an Executive MBA from the University of Washington and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Southern California. He has served on the Board since 2019 and is passionate about the organization’s mission to nurture permanent connections which empowers every young person to thrive.

He is deeply committed to community engagement and enjoys watching sports broadcasts (especially the commercials!), reading non-fiction and historical fiction, and exploring the Golden State.
