The Donor Relations Coordinator will be responsible for all aspects of the donor database system and will assist and support activities related to the agency’s annual giving program, including the stewardship and development of relations with former, current, and potential individual and corporate donors. Additional activities will include United Way outreach, and support for fundraising campaigns. This position will also assist with donor recognition, events, coordinating in-kind donations, and assisting the Director of Development with projects outlined in the Fund Development plan.  As a member of the Philanthropy team, this person plays a significant role in accomplishing the goals of the department and supports the Mission, Vision, and Values of the agency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 2 years experience in non-profit fundraising, donor stewardship, and database management  
  • Knowledge and experience with donor engagement principles and practices
  • Extensive skills in database management, Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) CRM, and social media, DonorPerfect experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team 
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment while able to juggle priorities and meet multiple deadlines
  • Organizational and project/time management skills
  • Experience soliciting donors for in-kind gifts and sponsorship requests

  • Fulfillment of TB test, background check clearance, and any other mandatory State/Federal requirements
  • Valid California driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, can a driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier
  • Must provide and operate a registered, properly insured automobile

Salary

Hiring Range: $17.00 – $20.50 hourly
